I like the color of the ducks, especially the female.  I just ran across this image and had never worked on it before.

Well, I am still working with NIK SilverEfex Pro.  I have tried a number of images and here is an architectural shot.

I am working with NIK’s Silver Efex Pro in an attempt to better my black and white skills.  Developing an eye for a good BW photo seems to be a problem but I am working on it.  I selected a number of images I took of a swan with my old Canon D60 in February of 2005.  They seem to be suited for black and white.  Here is my first attempt.  More will follow.

It will be Thanksgiving before we know it.  I am still just wandering around my lightroom library reviewing images taken over the last few years.  The following is one of quite a few photos I took over the Andes in Peru.  I have always liked them and really have not done anything with them.  I show two versions of the image one in the format taken and another zoomed in to see more of the detail.

Well, it’s been a few days again without a post.  I have been working over a couple slide shows and haven’t posted.  One of the shows is a review of five(5) different sepia studies.  This show has been in the works for quite a few months and tonight I will show it to a group at a camera club.  I thought I would show one of the images that I like today.

This is of a young girl in one of the many alleyways of Fez, Morocco.

I have been reviewing the photographs I took in Bhutan in 2008 and have come across a number I haven’t shared.  Here is a young monk on a very steep stair.

Just a revisit of a similar composition with a different young monk.

Well, it has been a few days since I showed anything on the blog.  I have been working on a couple slide shows and I will show a couple of the images here.  The show is called ” Fog & Sunrise” .  It features a number of sunrises I have taken on South Pond over the last few years.

This first image is probably the most dramatic.  It is a panorama made up of 2 – 3 images.

September 28th, Working with Grunge

I was reading an article in Black+White Photography about Digital deconstruction.  I guess it was about making your images look beat up. Anyway I started working on some images and here is the first.  A bicycle race I shot in April of 2005. The race was in the rain which helped when making the images look dark and dreary.

Fran Audette and I spent the day (Sept. 26th) on Georges Island in Boston Harbor watching a Sailing Regatta.  It seems to be quite hard to get good photos of sail boats but we tried. I have a couple examples of the Regatta.
